Ehiasall

Smaller than Aesland, with calmer weather and more resources.

LARGE SETTLEMENTS

MASTAY

A deep-water harbor cut into the cliffs of Ehiasall's western coast bristles with ships of every size and shape, white sails a perfect mirror to the miles of sandy beaches lining the shore. Verdant forests dripping with flowers give way to an elegant city cradled (and protected) by a ring of mountains.

Thanks to the enterprising efforts of previous generations, Mastay's market boasts numerous narrow passageways that wind their way down to the sea caves. Generally, Mastay's citizens share the use of these passageways with each other—though there are rumors that a few have been built over to hide them from all except the smugglers and riffraff who can pay to use them.

Terraced gardens and buildings hewn from the cliffs themselves are the norm nearest the harbor, but are soon replaced by carved hardwoods further into the valley. Outside the city proper, clear-water streams flow in abundance. The intoxicating perfume of jasmine and creeping honeysuckle drifts from overflowing planters lining every back porch and windowsill. Pennants dyed in brilliant hues hang overhead, bringing good fortune to all who pass beneath. Bees, birds, and hibiscus dragons flit between the city and the forest in equal measures. Everywhere one looks, color blooms.

Nuusan Grotto

Inhumed by an intricate web of water-logged caves tunneling into the bases of mountains cradling a salt lake on the far-west coast of Ehiasall is the haven known as Nuusan Grotto. It is safely accessible only by barge, for the immense cliffs overhanging it's access effectively thwart any other means, and the bargeman comes only for those who know how to summon him.
