Splash

The splashed white pattern is characterized by the horse appearing to have been dipped, feet-first, into white paint. The edges of the white markings are crisp, smooth and well-defined. The face markings may vary from a standard star or blaze to an entirely white head. Blue eyes are common and may show even when white does not cross the eyes. The tail is often white or white-tipped. Generally, the splashed white pattern does not reach the horse’s top line. At the minimum, the horse may appear to have a simple white lip, snip, star etc and blue eyes.

Splash is a solid white pattern, meaning it will not contain any spots within it. The exception to this is that small, smooth edged spots may be present along the lips, eyes, jaw and throat latch.
