Shield

Shield is a soft edged marking, reaching up over the shoulders, creating a 'shield' across the chest. Shield must be a dark grey to black, unless combined with silver or flaxen, in which case it can take on a soft cream colour. Though typically desaturated, shield may have a slight saturation to it on brighter coats. If adding any saturation, it should have the same tone as the base. Shield should not be lighter than the provided colours below.

The geno code for Shield is written as:

nSh or ShSh

FLAXEN/SILVER AND NORMAL COLOUR EXAMPLES

On the left is acceptable saturation, on the right is an example that is too light and saturated.
