Rosettes

Rosettes are a spotted marking that lays over the base coat. It creates jaguar-like, broken spots that are darker than the base coat. Rosettes may have small, broken spots within the main circle, as well as smaller, broken spotting along the edges of it's range. Examples of spot shaping are shown below.

The geno code for Rosettes is written as:
nRs or RsRs

MIN / MAX RANGE + MIN / Max SIZE

The center of the rosettes may have a filled in colour that is darker than what it sits over, but lighter than the spots themselves. Rosettes may have a slight gradient across the marking, and may also fade out around the lower range of the spots. The examples below show the minimum and maximum size for rosettes.

Rosettes do not affect the mane or tail.

When Rosettes combine with Mystic, the effect created is similar to that of a king cheetah. The combination creates thick dorsal striping that breaks apart into smaller spots and rosettes down the body.
